Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 12, 2025

World Explorers Preschool is committed to ensuring accessibility for all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide a website experience that is usable, understandable, and inclusive.

What web accessibility is

Web accessibility means that our site is designed and developed so that people with disabilities can access and use it. This includes users of assistive technologies, such as screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition, and those with differing cognitive, visual, auditory, motor, or linguistic abilities.

Standards & compliance

We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level (or insert applicable level), for all pages and features under our control. Where content is provided by a third party, or embedded content (e.g. videos, documents) that we did not create, we make reasonable efforts to ensure accessibility, but we may not always have full control over compliance.

What’s in place

To help achieve accessibility, we have implemented various measures, including, but not limited to:

  • Proper use of HTML headings and content structure so page content flows in a logical order.

  • Alternative (alt) text descriptions for images.

  • Color contrast choices that are sufficient to ensure readability.

  • Keyboard navigability; ensuring that all interactive features are usable via keyboard.

  • Accessible forms, labels, and input fields.

  • Minimizing motion and animations, or providing options to reduce them.

  • Regular reviews and testing, including with assistive technologies, to identify and remediate accessibility issues.

Physical and organizational accessibility arrangements

For our physical facilities, we strive to provide the following accommodations:

  • Accessible entrances and facilities (ramps / wide doorways etc.)

  • Accessible restrooms and classroom layouts to accommodate mobility devices.

  • Staff trained to support persons with disabilities.

  • Alternative formats of communication upon request.

If there are any specific additional accessibility arrangements—for example, in classrooms, playgrounds, or during drop-off/pick-up—please contact us to discuss.

Feedback, requests, or to report an issue

If you encounter any barrier on our site or in any of our services, or if you need content in a different format (large print, audio, etc.), please let us know. We try to respond to accessibility requests within a reasonable timeframe.
